Co-ownership Agreement: Here are our tips
Owning a cabin together requires a few simple ground rules. We have created a proposal for a practical set of rules to ensure a smooth co-ownership experience. This is, of course, optional and can be adapted to your needs—or used as is!

Owning a cabin together should be simple and predictable. That’s why we have created a well-thought-out co-ownership agreement that ensures clear guidelines for ownership. The contract is currently in Norwegian and can easily be translated into other languages. Please contact us if you need help with this!
The agreement covers the following:
Shared finances – organizing a joint account, expense distribution, and what happens in case of non-payment.
Use and maintenance – allocation of usage time, responsibility for maintenance, and communal work.
Personal belongings and order – rules for storage and how the cabin should be left after use.
Rental – guidelines for renting and possible coordination through a shared platform.
Sale and transfer of ownership – right of first refusal, pricing, and what happens if one party wants to sell.
Insurance and electricity – distribution of insurance coverage and electricity usage.
Upgrades and investments – how decisions on renovations and new purchases will be made.
Additionally, we recommend that the parties set aside an agreed budget for furniture and interior design in advance, as well as clarify who is responsible for selection and purchases.
Our proposal provides a solid framework but can be tailored to your needs—so you can focus on enjoying cabin life!
